Rituals of Muslim Weddings
As like the Indian culture, Muslim weddings also contain several pre and post wedding rituals, that draws the attention of all delegates and mostly the consciousness of Muslim Wedding Photography experts.
The hierarchical rituals of Muslim weddings are as follows:
- Mangni: The Muslim Weddings are started with the exchanging of rings, known as ‘Mangni’. With the change of rings, the bride and the groom make a commitment to become life partners.
- Mehendi: After the ring ceremony or ‘Mangni’, Mehendi is a huge ritual at Muslim Weddings. This event will held at the bride’s house a couple of days before marriage. This is similar to the ‘Haldi’ at Hindu Weddings. This is a great event, in which almost all relatives make their presence and gives their blessings to the bride.
- Barat: On the day of the wedding, the bridegroom comes to the bride’s house or the marriage garden, with their relatives and friends, this is known as ‘Barat’. The dance, the zest and the affinity will definitely attract your attention.
- Ijab-e-Kubul: This is the ceremony that almost completed Muslim wedding. In this ritual, the bride and the groom accept the proposal of marriage in the presence of Maulvi or the priest and do agree to the marriage.
- Mahr: This is the final ritual of Muslim weddings. In this ritual, the groom’s family gives their blessings to the bride, in the form of money. The mutual understanding and the acceptance of senior member’s completed this ceremony.
Priorly, all these rituals were completed under the existence of some family members only, but nowadays, all rituals are transparent and attended by all delegates and the Muslim Wedding Photography experts as well.
